About the Old Bank District

Old Bank District

Located in the Historic Core of Downtown Los Angeles, the Old Bank District is a group of early 20th century commercial buildings, many of which have been (or are being) converted into residential use. The Old Bank District is bordered roughly by the Jewelry District, the Fashion District, Gallery Row, the Toy District, and the city's Civic Center - specifically the block from Main to Spring Streets between 4th and 5th.

The Old Bank District is home to an elusive lifestyle rather than the financial regiment of years prior, drawing its foundation from the grand facades of the past. The Old Bank District Renovation, an effort led by Gilmore Associates, has reestablished sophistication and integrity to much of the Old Bank District.

With the addition of restaurants, the Art Walk, a variety of shops and a bustling after dark scene, the neighborhood is strongly connected to its surroundings, and has created a unique enclave in Downtown Los Angeles.
